About Us

CanvasGnome.com is the brainchild of two life-long friends, DJ and Bear. They grew up together in rural, small-town America. The northwestern corner of Vermont, to be exact. But, as life lived following high school, DJ and Bear went separate ways. DJ started working at a picture frame shop, and Bear pursued a degree in graphic design. Fast-forward a dozen years, and DJ opened his own picture framing and digital print business in small-town Vermont. A few years later, Bear moved back to the area and re-connected with DJ. Today, DJ and Bear operate the Village Frame Shoppe & Gallery on Main Street in St. Albans, Vermont. They have decided to bring the same canvas products that their local customers have come to know and love to the rest of America through CanvasGnome.com.
